Structural Ceramic Components

Structural components encompass a wide range of advanced ceramic materials and applications. Fluid handling is a good example. Ceramic materials possess ideal properties for use as valve components: ball valves, seats, ceramic bearings, body liners, pistons, and plugs are just some examples. Advanced ceramics such as TZ-30M (Magnesia Partially Stabilized Zirconia) and 99.5%-99.8% aluminum oxide are ideal material selections for severe service applications. TZ-30M is a high-toughness zirconia ceramic which exhibits improved performance over TZ-30D at elevated temperatures and in wet environments.
